Personalized Environment. Small class sizes and a dedicated, accessible
faculty enable students to fulfill their individual education needs.
Unique Applied Learning Opportunities. Neeley School
students put business theory into practice throughout the curriculum and through
several innovative programs. Students in the Educational Investment Fund,
one of the largest student-run investment portfolios in the nation, manage over
$1.7 million. Through the Student Enterprise Program, teams of students
are hired as consultants by companies to solve real business problems. The highly
successful Summer Internship Program provides opportunities for professional
level experience in a broad range of industries.
Development of Key Managerial Skills. The Neeley School has been widely
recognized for helping students develop the skills to be successful in a managerial
environment-effective communication, technology, leadership and team skills.
Dedicated resources, such as the Center for Professional Communication,
provide students with personal assessment and development opportunities.
Professional Development Program. More corporate management development
programs are focusing on "soft skills" in the workplace and giving hiring preferences
to MBA candidates who have them. The Professional Development Program develops
soft skills like valuing diversity, behaving ethically, working well in teams,
expressing yourself effectively, following etiquette rules, listening to others,
responding appropriately, making presentations and networking. Such skills make
MBAs more employable and more promotable in today's organizations.
Ties to Industry. Our close ties to the business community enrich the
student experience in the Neeley School. Industry leaders provide input on the
knowledge and skills that will give our graduates a competitive edge. Students
interact frequently with executives through guest lecture series, industry led
perspective seminars, field studies and other executive programs.
Ryffel Center for Entrepreneurial Studies. The mission of the center
is to build the skills, capabilities, and confidence of prospective entrepreneurs.
Students will be able to enroll in a variety of entrepreneurship offerings at
the graduate level. The center will help develop internship opportunities with
entrepreneurial companies to give students an outstanding experiential learning
opportunity during their time at TCU. Other offerings supported by the center
include speakers, seminars, and competitions through the Collegiate Entrepreneurs
Organization (CEO). CEO members will be assigned mentors from the entrepreneurial
community to discuss their possible future as an entrepreneur. Upon completion
of the Sarah and Steve Smith Entrepreneurs Hall, students will attend classes
and participate in programs in a state of the art entrepreneurial focused facility.
The Neeley School offers two professional graduate degrees: the MBA (Master
of Business Administration) and the MAc (Master of Accounting). The Neeley School
is fully accredited by the AACSB-International Association for Management
Education and is a member of the Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC).
