Asian Studies

Overview

Available as a minor on the B.A. and B.S. degrees.

The Asian Studies minor offers the student multidisciplinary opportunities to study subjects concerning the peoples and cultures of Asia. Students are required to take 18 hours, selected from at least 3 departments, from a variety of courses focusing on the history and thought of the peoples in Asia. The minor requires 3 hours from HIST 10943, 10953, 20943, and 20953 and 3 hours from RELI 30513, 30523, 30533, and 30773. No more than nine hours may be taken in any one department, and at least nine hours must be at the 30000 level or above.

Pass/No Credit Option. Students minoring in Asian Studies are subject to the pass/no credit policy of their major department.
