Student Development Services maximizes students' individual potential through holistic learning opportunities in leadership, service and wellness so they may positively and responsibly impact the greater community. Through personalized educational experiences, Student Development Services offers support and opportunities for individual growth both inside and outside the classroom. The unit houses Academic Orientation and Transitions, an initiative providing support and services for each year of the four-year college experience. The unit also oversees leadership education and training, gender and Allies programming, transfer student and parent programming, student involvement in the community, and service-learning. Additionally, Student Development Services promotes healthy lifestyle choices and responsible decision making regarding the use of alcohol and other drugs through the Office of Alcohol and Drug Education Center.
