The College of Education offers the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Education degree with majors in:
Early Childhood Education (Grades EC-4)
Generalist EC-4 with ESL Option
Generalist EC-4 with Special Education Option
Bilingual Generalist EC-4 Option

In addition, students can earn supplemental certification in special education. Courses are also offered for those students wishing to prepare for teaching English as a Second Language (ESL).
Programs listed in this catalog reflect current State Board of Educator Certification (SBEC) and Texas Education Agency (TEA) standards. Minor changes may be made in these programs to meet additional certification standards adopted by SBEC/TEA.
Education majors who plan to pursue Departmental Honors must be members of the University Honors Program and should enroll in EDUC 30003 during their junior year and EDUC 40003 during the fall semester of their senior year.
