Radio-TV-Film Minor

The minor in radio-TV-film requires 18 hours, including RTVF 10113, 10123, 10143 and 20583. RTVF 10053 cannot be used to fulfill minor requirements. The six remaining hours must be upper level and selected from the list below. Students are responsible for meeting all prerequisites.

Minors in radio-TV-film must achieve the following minimum academic requirements as a prerequisite to enroll in RTVF courses at the 20000-level and above:

  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 for the three RTVF basic courses;
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 for all courses taken within the Department of Radio-TV-Film;
  • A "C" or better in all courses taken in the Department of Radio-TV-Film.

The only exceptions are open electives courses, which have no prerequisites and are open to all TCU students, but which may not be used to fulfill RTVF major or minor requirements.
