College of CommunicationThe role of communication in the 21st century continues to be a vital and integral part of TCU's educational mission. Today, more than 1,000 students concentrate their studies within one school and two departments housed in the College of Communication. Degree programs are available in journalism, strategic communication, communication studies, sports broadcasting, and film, television and digital media. The academic programs of the college exact an appropriate balance between professional training and liberal arts studies. Relatively small classes allow the faculty to give attention to the work of each student. The college is organized into one school and two departments -- the Schieffer School of Journalism and the departments of Communication Studies and Film, Television, and Digital Media.
