SPAN 42003 - Hispanic Literature in USA

Prerequisites: at least one 32000-level Spanish course or SPAN 40103. An exploration of literary expressions of the Hispanic cultural community in the United States, especially the Chicano, Cuban-American, and Puerto Rican. Emphasis is laid on issues involving gender, identity, religion, and cultural conflict. Readings, discussions, and examinations are in Spanish.
