MATH 70273 - Commutative Algebra Prerequisites: MATH 60263, or equivalent. The course will cover the fundamental concepts of commutative algebra. These include commutative rings and homomorphism, ideals and quotient rings, prime ideals, modules over a ring and associated constructions (tensor Product, direct sum), exact sequences, rings and modules of fractions, primary decomposition, Noetherian and Artinian rings, and dimension theory.
