College of Fine Arts

The College of Fine Arts comprises the School of Art, the School for Classical and Contemporary Dance, The Department of Interior Design and Merchandising, the School of Music and the Department of Theatre. The School of Art offers the M.F.A. in Studio Art and the M.A. in Art History. The School of Music offers the M.M. in Performance, Musicology, Theory/Composition, Conducting and Pedagogy; the M.M.E. in Music Education; the Artist Diploma in Performance; and the Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance, Pedagogy, Composition and Conducting.

College of Fine Arts faculty are dedicated teachers who combine strong academic training with years of professional experience in their disciplines, and pride themselves on the ability to convey to students the knowledge necessary for successful lives and careers in the 21st century. The college also hosts visiting faculty, guest artists and performers who interact with students throughout the year enriching the learning experience.

Resources available to students include numerous computer labs, lighting and sound systems, specialized libraries and conditioning equipment, galleries, art and dance studios, theaters, and performance halls. Importantly, College of Fine Arts programs enjoy close working relationships with the Kimbell Art Museum, the Fort Worth Symphony, Casa Maņana Theatre, and the other visual and performing arts institutions in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
